Norm, it's a place called Yutaka Japanese Cuisine at Dundas and Chestnut. I've been going for a few years now as it's one of the only sushi restaurants I find acceptable in the downtown core (along with Yasu).

tng, ball out one day and go to Shoushin!!
In fact, I recommend everyone to try Shoushin if you enjoy sushi!

I gotta go check out Yutaka now though.

Indeed, Shoushin is excellent! (I don't quite consider it downtown) I was a very frequent customer of Zen back in the day when Jacky was there, and the place was in a run-down Scarborough strip mall.

Of course, nothing in our city compares to the Michelin starred places in Tokyo, but Shoushin is the closest we can get to a true edomae sushi omakase.

Best fish & chips on Vancouver Island! You know it is legit when they cut holes in the table to hold the meal.

It’s going to be stew tonight! My 6 year old’s suggestion and she’s already helping out with the meat

That's a bold statement; "best dumplings in the city."
Where is this establishment, so I can verify this claim?
