Another watch finder vote from me!

    They're great to deal with.

Van Rijk has a great selection, but not the best service.

Oh yes! Always has and always will. Very difficult to negotiate there.

Watchfinder yorkville was great for me. My first fancy used watch purchase was last year, I saw the ad online and went in the next morning (they update their website quite regularly). Bring cash and you can bargain with them (maybe not a great idea for the $64k Rolex GMT-Master II with diamonds they are selling now, haha). They included a 2 year warranty for service for my 6 year old Omega Speedmaster (they can do the servicing).

How much wiggle room to you have at Watchfinder? I've never been but i'll be in Toronto in 2 weeks and might check it out. Their prices online are absurdly high which is kind of turning me off all together if I could just buy the equivalent or similar watch off CWC or WUS for cheaper.

I would think a retail store in general is going to be more expensive than private sales, as the store has overheads and is profit motivated.

Check out Lebeouf Jewellers in Barrie. Great website listing all their estate pieces.

Watchfinder posts high prices but builds in wiggle room. Bring your cash and they will make a deal

I got a sub there and have to say they are awesome to deal with!

There's a place in Grismby called Harmony Jewelers. They have a good selection of used watches at fair prices but they don't list everything they have for sale. Make an appointment with the owner and he'll show you everything he has.

+ 1 for Harmony Jewellers. Bought my 116613lb and 18238 there. Gave me some fair trade as well. Ask for Chris he will treat you well.
