    Who Should Buy a Panerai?

    Hi all,
What makes Panerai watches so interesting? Don’t they all look the same? Aren’t they all too big? Why do people get so carried away with Panerai?
Check out TimeCaptain's latest PAM story http://www.watchpaper.com/2017/07/16...buy-a-panerai/

    Enjoy,
    Adam

Loved that you put a pic of the 533 in there.

As mentioned before, despite owning more than a few Panerai's in the past - the 533 is still on the bucket list.

In my opinion, no one lol. I think they are way overpriced but many brands fit that moniker.

Out of curiosity, what's a brand that you don't consider overpriced?

I think Oris is good value for the money but I don't know if your question was tongue in cheek or not. Christopher Ward is another one that comes to mind and Frédérique Constant.

No, not tongue in cheek at all. I generally consider most watches overpriced myself, Panerai included...not that it will stop me from getting one down the road.

Indeed, value can be a very personal and subjective thing.

Q: Who should buy a Panerai?

A: Someone else. They don't do a thing for me.

I do love the Pam 380.

The radiomir black seal. It has a long tradition and isn't overwhelming on your wrist even for 45mm

It really is a lovely watch!'

There's a whole group of people dedicated to this brand callled panerists.

People need to try one on before they make up their mind
