Good idea. I've heard of people actually recovering items by doing this. Look at e-bay too.

    Will keep an eye out.

Stolen threads pop up on other forums every now and then. Most of the time the serial # is publicly posted so others can keep and eye out. Might want to post it here and on any other forums your part of. Definitely file a police report and contact a few pawn shops and also let them know model and serial #. Sorry to hear, hope it turns out positive.

OMG, so sorry to hear that.
Definitely get the police involved, try your house insurance, some policies have $30K "mysterious jewelry disappearance" endorsement (only very basic documents required to submit the claim, no appraisal necessary), worth a phone call.

Sorry to hear. What a beautiful watch that is! Probably going to be a harder one to sell for a thief..

Did you have insurance on this? It should be covered if so.

I hope there is enough home insurance to cover the cost. I feel very bad for you my friend. Good luck with getting it back from the criminal. Kijiji, local classifieds, bring a picture to local pawn shops and offer a reward if the person comes in, contact the police and bring it up with the construction company. Best of luck.
