The PO Chrono is fantastic, but also very large. My favorite dive watch Chrono is the Seamaster Professional. I've had several. They also have 44 and 41 mm versions to help with size, but be aware, they are heavy watches. Nice daily watch that'll take anything you throw at it, and the sword hands on a chronograph are also functional, as they never block out much of the subdial action.

One of my faves is the JLC Master Compressor Chrono. Handsome looking watch.

Thanks for letting me know. I just checked out the new releases. That watch is on my list for sure. It says that it has blue subdials and blue inner bezel ring but the AP website does not show any color for some reason

I think their site is buggy, or someone has not proofread for accuracy. The model above seems to be an anthracite dial with silver subdials in a titanium case (according to the IO part of the reference.) The other 42mm with ceramic bezel is in SS, but with red accents throughout. I personally would have liked to see an all ceramic 42mm ROO.

I also think it would exceed your 30K ceiling, especially as discounts will be sparse at launch. And knowing how quickly you turn over pieces, maybe not a good idea in the short term.

The El Primero is also a good choice. It's been on my wAnt list for awhile now.

I've heard that the steam room / hot shower is not a good place for watches. It has to do with the heat negatively impacting the seals of the watch / risk of condensation forming under the crystal. I would feel better if a watchmaker chimed in but I feel like that's something I heard from a reputable person at some point along the way.

Iíve heard that as well. But to be honest, Iíve been wearing mostly my SM PO in these environment. I always shower with watches, hot water, soap and all that.

My PO has always been with me in steam rooms and oven in jacuzzi, where you have chlorine (like any swimming pool) and itís done just fine 6 years before I did a service.

I guess it comes down to the individuals, just like investments, whatís your risk tolerance .
