    Baume & Mercier Clifton Baumatic*

An interesting and affordable watch, though for me the highlight is the movement: 5 day manual. I was looking at the Zenith Elite 6150 (last generation) to scratch the manual watch itch, with the main requirement being a large reserve (why zenith handicapped their Elite 6150 to be 50hrs from 100hrs is beyond me)

I'd like the watch face to be a bit cleaner, less cluttered, hopefully they use the movement in other watches / brands (Montblanc please!)

The watch actually looks good. The white glossy dial is nice. The cross hairs reminds me of the JLC geophysics and perhaps unnecessary in this case.

I really like that dial actually. But aesthetic preferences aside it is a nice caliber and a pretty decent value.

Yes, was just reading about it on WatchTime and Hodinkee. Very handsome watch. Hopefully they come with a dark dial. Eventually and hopefully, the movement will trickle to other Richemont brands. Just wish they had the movement on the Clifton Club.

I was immediately drawn to this as well.
Like yourself, I'd prefer a cleaner dial.
    But still really cool

Does remind me of the JLC. May have to pick one up.

Lots of good things here, dial texture is really nice, size, movement, price all good. But I just don't think I could wear something that said "Baumatic". Someone should tell their design department you can't just throw "-matic" after any old thing and be done with it, Panomatic - yes, Futurematic - sure, but Baumatic I just can't even...
