Last summer I had had a steak and a bottle of red wine at Barberians in Toronto with a family member and it was the best steak I have ever had. Not sure how the place rates in Toronto, but I found it very memorable.

I have to agree with this. My wife is of Syrian decent and we go to Damas often. If you are into seafood their octopus is out of this world.

I've eaten there many times. Barberians might not be the best steak house in Toronto but it is IMO the best value. It is better than Hy's, Ruth Chris or Mortons but perhaps not quite as good as Jacobs and Company and Harbour Sixty which I would rate slightly higher but more expensive.
