Why is the Edit function disabled?

Why is the edit function disabled Bobby?

Can we enable it? There are many times I post only to realize I've made an error and I'm unable to fix it!

At the very least, could we get a 5-10 minute window to edit posts?

It is enabled in some forums, but disabled in others. I generally followed what I saw on numerous other forums...

Its a piece of work to go in and make changes, but I will look into it.

Most typos are avoided by hitting the "go advanced" button and re-reading before posting.

I kind if feel that chat is chat... and should follow like a dialogue. Its not like we can edit what we say after its been said...

Thanks for the reply Bobby, the edit function in the classifieds area I feel would be very beneficial for everyone. Btw, great site and it is my primary go to for all my WIS urges.

I am also interested in an edit function on CWC - even a window of 1 day for post edit functionality would be much appreciated.

    Wouldn't hurt.

If I make a typo while typing quickly and notice it later, I generally like to edit to fix it. Not a big fan of grammatical or other silly errors. But it's not a deal breaker or anything though.

Especially now that the Photobucket BS has ruined so many posts. We would love to put the new links in.
