Up for grabs is what I consider one of the most top shelf TAG Heuer one can purchase.
This Calibre 36 Chronograph was a special edition with a chronometer certified Zenith El Primero cal 400 movement, that boasted a column wheel and horizontal clutch featured in the previous generation Rolex Daytona until c. 2000.
The watch features a 38mm cushion shaped stainless steel case and a beautiful guilloche pattern dial black dial with alternating patterns.
The high polished Arabic numerals appear black and disappear every now and then and make a covert appearance when you least expect it.
The date at 6 is a nice added bonus if you require this for daily wear.
All in, this 38mm beauty feels akin to a baby Panerai and might just be what I adore about it.
This package comes as a full set with outer and inner boxes, tags, booklets, warranty card and chronometer certificate.
The strap appears to have been trimmed on the sides to fit the clasp, but is very usable and I will be including a chocolate brown leather strap as well which pairs better, in my opinion, with the watches aesthetic.
The watch shows signs of wear in keeping with the watches age, but nothing drastic.
It is currently running at +8s a day and amplitude of 260.
Comparables are few and seem to be nearing $5k, while I’m asking for $3850 shipped or best reasonable offer.
