Hey folks
Up today I have one of the nicest iterations of the limited release from Seiko for the Save the Ocean series.
The SLA055 is crafted of Ever-brilliant steel which is reminiscent of white gold and has proven near impossible to capture in pictures and puts 904L steel to shame.
Coming in at a 42.6mm case and a 13mm height, this watch wears like a 40mm piece and feature GS level finishing on the indices and handset.
The crystal has AR coating to the inner crystal and makes for perfect viewing of the gradient blue patterned dial reminiscent of the polar ice in the Antarctic landscape, while the bezel numerals are a cool blue tone to reflect the colour of polar ice.
Set with a ceramic bezel this one of the nicest Marine Masters I have come across.
This SLA055 is a re interpretation of the original 6159-7001, not a recreation or a reissue, and as such has its own character.
The chocolate bar strap is second to none in comfort and the complimentary Seichu strap is unused.
The movement is the 8L35, GS finished movement and beats a 28.800 VPH, at +8s a day and a 50 hour power reserve.
Condition is near mint with a spattering of surface hairlines on the polished case sides, only seen at certain angles.
The watch retailed at $5975 plus tax when it was available and is since sold out.
I’m asking $3750 plus shipping for this masterfully created timepiece or f2f in the GTA.
