Hey Folks
Up today I have a watch brand that is generally overlooked, yet presents a value proposition for those looking for a high end timepiece from a watchmaker with true marine heritage.
This watch is in my possession as I am selling for a friend.
I’ve had the pleasure of wearing this beauty and the blue dial rivals some of the nicest blue dials I’ve owned (looking at the IWC Le Petit Prince and the Glashutte Panomatic Dials)
The rubber strap is cut and ideally will fit a wrist size approximately 7.2”, there are some minor signs of wear on the brushed portions of the bracelet where the ship is featured and on the polished part of the lugs, but nothing unsightly or major.
At 43mm, the watch is a comfortable size and has some weight to it, though not cumbersome and wears more like a 41mm owing to relatively short lug to lug distance.
The blue rubber strap is comfortable and supple, with plenty of breathability.
On the case side, is a tiny plaque reminding you this is a limited run of 250 pieces.
Powering the watch is the UN-150 caliber, a column wheel movement with date function, boasting a 52 hour power reserve, with an excellently finished and designed rotor.
This Ref 1503-150/43 Balt V2, remains my favourite version owing to the contrast of the rose gold tone markers and handset set against the blue sunburst dial.
The watch was a Canadian pickup by a collector who did not mind paying the sticker price of over $19,000 for it.
Lowest comparable I’ve found is about $12,000
I’m asking a very reasonable and accessible $7899 shipped for this classy, elegant and robust timepiece.
