Up for grabs is a watch you likely didn’t know existed, like myself.
The watch is a perfect blend of vintage and quirky with modern elements.
The Sector/Tuxedo dial is every bit a blast from the past and provides enhanced legibility by design; throw in a salmon pink and slate grey contrast and you get a watch that a modern day Don Draper would proudly wear.
The raised grey circular ring stands out against a dial that is finished in a striking vertical grain, which by its own merits provides a nice contrast that’s a feast for the eyes.
Throw in the dauphine style hands and a vision case and you would think this was something from the 1940s, except for the colour way.
Executed in almost the same fashion as the standard issue Durham, this one diverts from the norm to showcase Eastern Arabic markers in place of Roman Numeral markers on the aforementioned circular ring.
The railroad track minute markers on the outer dial are quintessentially vintage while the SW216-1 movement, isn’t.
The watch is in overall very good condition with a minor hairlines to the curved square bezel, most notably on the upper right portion.
The watch comes as a full set with everything pictured and warranty until 2028 and runs at a respectable +6s/day
Measuring in at 38.5mm x 43.8mm x 10.5mm, the watch is undeniably comfortable on my wrist and is a real pleasure to own and wear.
If you don’t read Arabic, consider this an educational purchase as you’ll soon have knowledge of atleast 5 Arabic numerals
This iteration is limited to 50 pcs worldwide and is unlikely to be reproduced again, nor have I seen one on the secondary market thus far.
