Up today I have one of my favourite recent releases from Sinn.
Known to churn out tough, stealthy and handsome pieces, Sinn knocked it out of the park with this limited edition, while simultaneously providing us an actual limited edition, with only 500 pieces of these in circulation.
This model with a matte blue fume dial is highly legible and cohesive to the transition of dial to case.
If you’re unfamiliar with Sinns PVD coating, it is not simply to the surface of their submarine grade steel.
The softer base of the steel is first tegimented with the subsequent PVD layer atop the tegimenting.
This ensures the hard PVD coating transitions very gradually to the softer base material, thereby creating a seamless impact resistant surface with no risk of flaking to the PVD due to a gradual decrease in hardness from the surface inward.
Perfectly sized at 41mm the incredible AR coating on both sides of the crystal will leave you believing the dial is interactive.
The 500M water resistance is classic Sinn over-engineering and at the price point I’ve yet to encounter a slimmer, more comfortable diver with as much technology in the package.
