Hey folks
Up for grabs is a truly mesmerizing piece from Breitling, the reference AB01764A1C1X1
The Top Time lineup is heavily vintage inspired in its case design and bicompax layout, but the buck stops there.
The ice blue dial is nothing short of artisanal with its “Zorro” design motif that features vertical striations on the vertical axis and a flat baby blue on the horizontal ones that house the subdials.
The watch as produced in collaboration with British motorcycle company Triumph and the ice blue dial is of notable relevance to both watch and motorcycle company; a blue Triumph Thunderbird 6T from 1951 and a rare ice-blue Breitling Top Time Ref. 815
There is adequate lume on the handset and in the outboard tachymeter between the 95-70 markers
The watch measures at 41mm with a 13.3mm thickness and a lug to lug of 50.3mm, sitting just right on my 7.3” wrist
In overall excellent condition, there is a small fleabite to the underside of the bottom right lug that can be seen from the side and a hair sized one on the inside of the upper right lug and some minor wear to the on crown case side and on the clasp.
The strap is thick, soft and well made in a fashion similar to that or motorcycle gloves and features a distressed look as well-it’s not wear and tear.
The watch runs like a champ at 0s/day as can be expected from the B01 movement and as with all in house movements, this one came with the 5 year standard warranty that was bumped up to 7 years, expiring in 2031.
The watch come as a full set with box, card and manual integration
Retail is a staggering $9550+ tax
I’m asking $6444 shipped from the GTA
