Hey folks
Up for grabs is my Nomos Metro Neomatik Update 41, ref 1165.
As the name dictates, the case is 41mm in diameter, though the watch wears more like a 39 owing to the wire lugs, which disappear on the wrist.
Paired on a fabric strap, the watch is more comfortable than one would imagine and is easily paired with most aftermarket straps 20mm in width.
The watch shows faint signs of occasional wear by way of surface hairlines on the high polished case.
With a barely there bezel, the dial encompasses much of the watch while two neon orange markers highlight the date, a patented and unique way of tracking the date.
Powered by the DUW6101 movement, the exhibition caseback allows for a view into the inner workings of the watch, which for the price point is executed in step with more luxurious offerings.
Nomos is famed for showcasing elegance, restraint and practicality in their timepieces and this one is no different, with the shades of silver and grey taking centre stage, enhances further by the oxidized black handset that enhance legibility, while also showcasing incredible thinness.
The knurling on the crown is a thing of beauty, that enhances operation and grip.
Retail on this model is $6000, while I’m asking $3799 in the GTA.
