A. Lange & Söhne Datograph 403.035 platinum, the original execution. Complete + $7000 platinum deployment
Several months ago I managed to track down a platinum A. Lange & Söhne Datograph in the original execution to present to the CWC community. The interest was so overwhelming that I have been keeping my eyes open for another one ever since and I have finally found another excellent example! This watch keeps excellent time and is in excellent condition with some swirls and light scratches to the case. No dings or dents. I hope you enjoy the write up and pictures. We went for a snowshoe in the woods to take a few shots and then went back inside as it was a little chilly.
Some information specific to this watch:
1. The original execution of the A. Lange & Söhne Datograph 39mm platinum was discontinued in 2011. This watch is one of the last ever to be sold new at AD. The warranty papers being dated December 2011.
2. The previous platinum datograph which I sold only had a tang buckle. Typically this watch only comes with a tang buckle. The owner of this watch purchased the correct platinum deployment buckle direct from A. Lange & Söhne which cost him an additional $7000 for the deployment mechanism adding a hefty amount of value and comfort to this particular example.

Some information specific to this model:
The A. Lange & Söhne Datograph is a flyback chronograph which not only raised the bar, but in fact shattered the ceiling when it was released in 1999. The level of finishing on the caliber L951.1 was and is still superior to similar offerings from the holy trinity of: Patek Phillipe, Vacheron Constantin, and Audemars Piguet. Phillippe Dufour, who may be the greatest living watchmaker, is on record stating that the datograph is simply the best chronograph ever made (Philippe Dufour, 2013). The wristwatch offered here is the original execution of the datograph which came in platinum. The majority of watch enthusiasts (myself included) believe that this watch is very undervalued, and that prices will continue to uptick in the next 5-10 years due to dwindling supply (Tim Mosso, 2015). I agree that the 39mm size is perfect and the increase to 41mm will not be as desirable in the future (Tim Mosso, 2015). As Tim states in the video below “This is the classic, this is the icon, this is the future auction star”. If you are considering a datograph, this is the one to own.

Value: $61,250 (slightly higher than the last datograph I sold which is a reflection on the inclusion of the platinum deployment clasp).
I will consider all trades and multiple trades on this timepiece, for your convenience. If you have several watches you would like to trade toward this watch, I am willing to help you make it work. But please realize I am doing this to your benefit and while I aim to offer very strong trade valuations on your timepieces, I need to feel comfortable that I will be able to trade/sell your watches safely. The second set of pictures are of the same model (different watch from 2009) which I sold a few months ago. The soft summer lighting helped to show off the movement better.
