Hi all
Bit of a catch and release for me. I recently purchased this awesome Omega Seamaster 145.006 from 1966 with the legendary cal.321 movement but am waffling if it is a keeper.
The watch appears to be all original (from my inspection and how it was sold to me). The dial is original and in honest condition - no re-dial here! There is a nice patina that has developed on the outer white portion of the dial; there is some spotting and overall very handsome. The hands are also original (quite rare for a 50 year old watch).
The case is in very good condition - a few light scratches - but the edges are remarkably sharp - take a look at the pictures.
Of course the real money in this watch - aside from being a killer vintage Omega is the Cal. 321 movement. The movement alone is worth the asking price for parts - and parts for the 321 are only going up in value. In fact part of my rationalization to buy this was in case I ever needed spare for my 1968 Speedy Pro.
According to the previous owner - the watch was serviced this year by an independent watchmaker and is running like a top.
It goes without saying no box and papers. It comes on a nice grey suede band - nothing fancy but works well with the watch.
Priced very fairly at $3200 shipped and insured anywhere in Canada or pick up in the GTA.
Not looking for trades at the moment.
Thanks for looking - Galen
