FS: 1971 Omega Speedmaster Professional

I am selling my 1971 Omega Speedmaster Professional Cal.861. I am the second owner. The original owner bought the watch in Canada in 1971.

There are few little barely noticable dents around the tach bezel with the most prominent one at 10:00. One has to look for them, they do not jump out at you, and thats the worst of it. The watch was rotated with a Submariner (and a few others on and off) for over thirty years, with the Sub receiving more wrist time than the Speedy. Which is what I was told by the owner. It has some moderate swirlies.

The original owner made a point of not having it polished at it's first and only overhaul.

Sent to Omega Service Centre in 1993 for a cleaning and new crystal. There was a custom sapphire crystal back made by the original owner so you can see the beautiful rose gold movement.

The chrono hands work and line up perfectly, the hour hand has a tiny speck of lume that the was flaking off and the watch repairman carefully removed them. The rest of the lume although dead is solid and not a concern. The original bracelet is stretched but still wearable imo. The Gasgasbones strap is nicluded.

I can include the Hodinkee Leather strap for en extra $100.00 ... I paid $160.00 for it and I literally wore it 5 times.

Shipping to Canada by UPS or Fedex insured and signature included.

ASKING: $2400

No trades. Please make me an offer by private message. This watch can sit with me for a few more years so please no low ball offers.

Thank you!
