Hello, CWC,
For sale is my Archimede 45mm Pilot. I am second owner and purchased this here on CWC about a year ago from original owner.
The original owner purchased this watch in 2012 direct from Archimede and had it imported to Canada.
I have enjoyed this watch and would not be selling it if I hadn’t purchased several more flieger/pilot watches since then.
I have since acquired a Laco Dortmund and a Stowa Flieger Klassik, so the Archimede, as fine of a watch as it is, does not get any wrist time at all now.
Note:
1. The previous owner had the outer AR removed as it was starting to peel, from what he told me. There are no issues whatsoever with the crystal – please see photos.
2. The original leather strap was quite worn so I had salvaged the hardware (deployment and rivets) and had a new custom made strap made by KC from Canadian Bespoke Strapworks (cadstraps) using the Archemede hardware. The strap is made of genuine water snake leather and suits the watch very well in my opinion. The strap is like new, I would conservatively rate it at 95% with very minimal signs of wear as I mostly worn the watch on nato straps and occasionally on the water snake.
Condition of the watch itself is very good; there are very minimal signs of wear that would be expected from normal use – see photos. Nothing wrong mechanically, hands align perfectly, winding is smooth and no issues with timekeeping.
Now to the specs:
Movement: Automatic movement SW 200-1, Swiss Made
ICKLER Case: The high-quality case is manufactured by ICKLER in Pforzheim.
Brushed, sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, screw down seethrough case back), pilot's crown, water resistant to 5 ATM, diameter 45 mm, thickness 10 mm, lug-to-lug length 53 mm
Dial - Black, with luminous numerals and indexes
Blue hands with white luminous material (not sure if it’s C3 or BG9)
The watch comes with box only as it came when I received it from original owner.
