An opportunity has just come up for something I've been eyeing, thus this beautiful Navitimer has to go...and go quickly. So here goes...
Model reference 81619 (aka A13019), dating, based on recent research, to the early 90's according to serial number.
This beauty comes with a specially-purchased OEM Breitling Milanese bracelet, the same one used by Breitling for its recent "Airline Series" Navitimers such as the Pan Am. All factory links included, so will fit almost any size wrist. Currently sized for a 7" wrist.
Condition of this Navitimer is overall excellent. The dial is clean and unmarred. The dial markers show a creamy-and-dreamy aged patina. The sliding-scale bezel turns bidirectionally and has a pearly luster to it, matching the sub-dials. As for timekeeping, it was timed on my Timegrapher just yesterday, dial up, on a 3/4 wind, at 0s/d, 288, and 0.3ms (rate, amplitude, and beat error, for those uninitiated), which is an outstanding reading for any vintage. Chronograph functions work as they should, and zero precisely. The crown winds smoothly and solidly. The date changes properly. The case has a few tiny surface scratches commensurate with age and obviously careful wear, but no major dings or deep scratches. The crystal is clear. The original case back has been polished. The model and serial numbers are readable on close examination.
