I am really torn on this one but I have made too many purchases lately and something has to go. I have other Eterna's so this sadly is the on the block.
This watch is outstanding value for money. It carried and MSRP of $8500usd which might have been a stretch but with the quality of finish, in house movement, genuine alligator strap it is totally justified in the $3K to $4K range. They came on the grey market at $1300 usd or so and at that they were an outright steal.
For those unfamiliar with Eterna's in house Calibre 39 here is a link to an article. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/dissecting-the-new-eterna-caliber-39
Eterna's movement division sells this movement to third parties and it is being seen in watches from Monta, Weiss, Niall etc. and I am sure we will see more. It has a 65 hour power reserve and the version in my watch has a GMT function on a small subdial at 6:00. It is highly decorated with Circular Cotes de Geneve. It is running at a very steady +4.2 seconds per day.
Size is 43mm with 22mm lug spacing. It wears much smaller IMO due to short lugs and a large bezel. I have included a picture with a watch everyone knows to show scale.
Condition is excellent. A few very small swirls on the polished bezel and a few small strap changing marks on the back of the lugs. The Alligator strap is new and unworn.
I am asking $1200 cad shipped. EMT is preferred. I can confidently say that this is the most watch that can be had for that price on the market.
Thanks for looking.
