This is an iconic watch which patented the 24-hour time bezel and produced the GMT complication well before the Rolex GMT Master back in 1953. It is also one of the only watches in the world with a true 24-hour movement. The watch is famous among airline pilots, was used by American pilots in the Vietnam war, and even went to space with an American astronaut once, along with being used frequently by travelers in the age before smartphones where knowing two time zones was very important. The history of this watch is so rich there is an entire booklet defining it along with a website dedicated to it (https://andres55.home.xs4all.nl/glycineairman.pdf). The modified ETA 2893 movement in the watch not only makes it very thin, but runs an astonishing +1 second/day (within COSC specs). It comes with the original teal leather strap (one of the best leather straps I've ever worn, and similar in quality to Panerai straps) along with a Hirsch Accent natural rubber strap which can be purchased for a bit extra (I researched quite a bit on rubber straps and purchased this one; it is really amazing quality, doesn't attract lint and feels amazing in the summer). The best part of the watch in my opinion is the caseback featuring a well finished airplane engraving on the rotor.

$1200 CAD for the watch in pristine condition, with box and papers and original leather strap (good value as this watch is very hard to find now since it was discontinued by Glyicine, and offers a real 24-hour movement [the Base 22 Purists all do]).

+ $110 CAD for Hirsch Accent natural rubber strap
(a $120 value from Ebay)
