Howdy!
FS today is my modded Seiko SKX171. Purchased from Amazon in July 2017 and modded by Duarte at NEWW in August 2017. I must have worn it about 5 times total so it's pretty much mint.
Mods include :
- Genuine Seiko Samurai hands (matching lume)
- Genuine Seiko SKX007 bezel assembly
- Case polished to a high gloss (no more brushed areas)
As I said the watch is in excellent condition since it was barely worn. I am wearing my Seamaster everyday and I'm downsizing the collection. Nothing wrong with the watch. If you look with a loupe you may find maybe a few swirl marks on the case but since it's a high polish a bit of Simichrome paste and two minutes later you have a watch looking like brand new.
As far as timekeeping is concerned I remember the watch being a bit slow at about -20s/d. Still within specs for the 7S26. If you want that movement can be easily adjusted by any decently competent watchmaker. On this watch everything is aligned, chapter ring and bezel insert, which is sadly quite rare for an SKX.
