Hi, I have for sale an interesting example of an Omega Ranchero. This was produced by Omega between 1958-1959 and was a colossal failure at the time as Ranchero was a Spanish term for basically "farm-hand". As a result they are fairly rare watch and today are quite collectible. They have an amazing vintage appeal with the radium lume and iconic Omega broad arrow hands. There are far, far more fake ones than real ones in existence. For full disclosure, this is actually an "un-Frankened" watch. I purchased the dial and hands in an incorrect case with the wrong movement and subsequently purchased a Seamaster with the 2990-1 case and a cal 267. It is now in my opinion a fantastic looking Ranchero. The lume on the hands and dial have an amazingly even patina. The case has minor surface scratches from age but I don't believe has been polished. I was told the movement was serviced in Dec 2012. I can't confirm that though but it runs as it should. The only obvious flaw that it has is the lume on the 6 o'clock marker has chipped away near the bottom right corner. Unfortunate but I wasn't going to risk "fixing" it. I also see some with a white sub seconds hand and not sure which is correct. You could simply paint this hand if it's supposed to be white but I think it looks better matching the other hands. Everything is Omega as far as I know. There are so many fakes floating around that it makes finding a market value on these quite difficult. Google and eBay searches are quite useless. I've seen "original" ones hit USD$5K at auction houses.
