This is a watch that I just received from a reputable dealer in Japan but I am not sure I am bonding with it as much as I hoped. It's available until Tuesday next week only, because I may still return it until that date. A 2254.50 in good original condition is becoming hard to find and prices have gone up lately, so I thought I would offer it here if that's another member's dream watch.
The watch is in superb condition. Much better than the macro shots below would suggest. I believe it has never been polished since the lines are still very crisp. The bezel assembly is very close to mint. Second hand's tip is bright red, no fading at all. Lume is very bright and has not discoloured. Lume pip on the bezel has no sign of yellowing. Dial and hands are perfect. 8.1 million serial number clearly visible, this is a late production watch just before the model was discontinued. Currently keeps time at -10 s/d but does probably better than that since I only wore it for an hour inside the house. Japanese seller claimed + 5 s/d. Service history is unknown. Bracelet has not stretched and is currently sized for a 7 1/2" wrist with some slack. No box, no paper, but will be bombproof packaged for shipping.
Asking $2900 shipped, paid EMT. The price is firm because as I said I can return it next week and get my money back. I'll supply receipt of Canadian duties and taxes paid, dated yesterday.
