You would like a datejust but at the same time you prefer something different? You are sick and tired of your co-workers flexin on you with their “rare” blue dial datejusts? Well, this is your chance.
I’ll start by saying that this dial is rare, and by rare I mean super RARE. There’s literally 0 for sale right now in the market (Few months ago I managed to find one without a bracelet for 5k USD in Hong Kong).
You may wonder why and what’s so rare and special about the dial? Well, in a certain light, it looks like the white painting just vanishes – like a ghost – against the grey dial until it seems like the dial has no text at all.
The watch is in mint condition and runs well +-2sec per day (it was serviced two years ago). The case has a few scratches here and there but nothing major. The lugs are fat and crisp. The 18kt-white gold fluted bezel is in a good condition too!
Reference number: 1601
Serial: 304**** (Circa ±1973)
The only negative thing is the mark on the dial above 6 o’clock. Honestly, I never tried removing it, but I think that it can be removed by an experienced watchmaker.
Because of the stain on the dial I priced this watch at $5400 shipped or F2F GTA
