Seiko 6139-6005. The “blue pogue.”
From 1972.
Bracelet is aftermarket, from Uncle Seiko. Like new.
I purchased the watch from the man who said he was the original owner. I sent it off for service a few months ago to James Mosco in Toronto. Movement was fully serviced, lubed adjusted and pushers were rebuilt. Accuracy is within 20 seconds per day, which is on spec for this movement. The only non original things are the gaskets and crystal, which were replaced during the service. Condition is good for a watch of it’s age. The lines seem to be clean and it does not seem like the case has been polished. The inner bezel has a nice grey fade and rotates smoothly.
When using the chronograph, it doesn’t always reset to 0 on the first push. If you’re within the first 15 seconds it does, otherwise it usually resets to a few seconds off 0, but as soon as you hit the pusher a second time. It resets fine to 0 always. Something to do with the version of the movement.
Asking a fair $1000 via etransfer. Shipping is on me. Local pickup in the Montreal area is of course welcome, following Covid protocols.
I may also entertain a trade for a Sinn 556 or Stowa Flieger.
