This watch was a labor of love that it took me over a year to put together, at considerable trouble and expense. I wanted to create a Milsub-style watch with white markers (unlike the OVM's peach color) and that had a date. It pains me to sell it after all I've been through, but it's not getting any wrist time and I want someone else to share the joy (and yes, I want the cash).
I started with the body of a Steinhart Ocean One Black that I bought new in 2015, and replaced the bezel with the Ocean Vintage Military (OVM) Milsub-style bezel. I sent the dial off to Jay at Motor City Watch Works, who relumed the markers over the polished border, creating a maxi-dial. I sent the watch itself to John Zannata at Jelliottz, who removed the cyclops, installed arrow hands I got from Helenarou, and brushed the case side (like the original Milsub).
As you can see from the photos, other than a few desk-diving marks on the bracelet and clasp, this is in near-perfect condition.
Watch comes with the original Ocean Black bezel, three new replacement OVM bezels (you can see I'd intended to keep this watch for a long time), all extra links, boxes, and papers.
Given the effort and expense involved in this project, not to mention the extra goodies, I am asking for $650 plus $18 shipping. Willing to do a F2F in downtown Toronto.
I will accept wire, paypal, or Interac (and, of course, cash in a F2F).
