For sale is a Seiko Ladies diver reference SUG 089 in mint condition. I bought this in 1990 and it was never worn. Who the hell keeps a watch mint for 30 years.
The serial # dates this watch to 1986 and it complete with everything when I purchased it new even the un-sized bracelet.
Specs are
Lug width = 17.0 mm
Case width (from the 9 to the 3), not including crown = 34.0 mm
Case width (from the 10 to the 4), including crown when crown is screwed in = 38.0 mm
Case distance from top lug to bottom lug = 38.5 mm
Case thickness, from caseback to face of watch = 13.5 mm
Rubber Strap -
Most wide part near watch = 19.0 mm
(the largest part is actually wider than the lug width)
Most narrow part near buckle = 14.0 mm
Crown -
Width = 6.0 mm
The Dial:
The dial is very similar to a miniature 7002
This dial has about the best lume I have seen for a lady’s watch.
The Crystal: Hardex
The Crown: Screw Down
The Movement: Although this one does not hack, it has something that is real useful, and that is it can be handwound
The Hands:
Resemblance to 7002 and SKX007/9 hands is uncanny, just tinier.
The Case & Caseback: Nice mix of satin/brushed finish and shiny polish.
Bottom line: This watch is every bit the equivalent of a tough daily wearing diver watch, priced affordably and sized just right for the ladies.
Running @ -2 seconds a day with high amplitude. Not bad for over 30 years old
