Recently serviced and pressure tested (October 29, 2012) by Al at Archer Watches, and up for sale is my Watchco SM300 No Date, Ref.166.0324, cal.552-1, S/N 2750XXXX, which dates the movement to approximately 1968/69.
I originally purchased this watch on an Omega Mesh bracelet, but I wanted the correct vintage look of the 1171/633 bracelet so I sold the mesh and purchased the proper bracelet directly from Watchco late last year. I’ve worn the watch sparingly since the service and new bracelet so it is in like new condition.
I would comfortably rate the condition of this watch at TZ 97% Mint. The case, crystal and bracelet are practically blemish free, and with the recent service,the movement is in excellent running order…stable and accurate at around +1second/day on my wrist. The bezel triangle lines up properly on this one, and the lume is crazy bright when charged.
Included in the sale is the watch/bracelet, spare links (to make the bracelet original full length), as well as the service/pressure test documents and CD which details the service in words and photos for the work done on this exact watch by Al at Archer. For those of you who know of Al’s work, I think you will agree that his service goes above and beyond in terms of quality and attention to detail.
Reflecting the condition and cost of service, priced at $2550 CDN Paypaled. E-mail money transfer also accepted within Canada, at a reduced price of $2475.
