Selling my vintage-themed Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special in 40mm (Ref: 11.1942.679/53.C808). This is part of a limited edition series of only 250 of each dial colour (blue, red, green, grey). I had wanted this watch for many years but once I finally got it I realized that I’m no longer into pilot watches like I was before. The watch is in excellent condition since I received it during the Christmas break (less than a month ago) and only wore it out of the house a few times.
This watch is powered by the in-house Zenith automatic calibre Elite 679 which beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and has a 50 hour power reserve.
The dial is a faded dark blue with Arabic numerals made of solid beige SuperLuminova. The sapphire crystal is domed with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
The stainless steel case with 100M water resistance has an grey aged finish to it that is complemented by the vintage-looking oversized onion crown.
The strap is blue nubuck leather with contrasting white stitching that measures 20mm at the lugs and 18mm at the Zenith-signed titanium pin buckle.
This is a full set with the outer white cardboard sleeve, inner black cardboard box, and black leather box, instruction manual, Zenith warranty card with leather cardholder. The warranty card was stamped and dated by the AD on Dec 12, 2018 (order date) so there’s still almost 2 years of manufacturer’s warranty left.
Including shipping, HST, and CBSA handling I paid over $6,500 CAD. Selling for $5,500 CAD. Will do F2F in GTA. As far as I can tell, this model (in any of the available colours) has never appeared on CWC ever.
