One owner from my hometown AD in 1977. Box and papers and extras. It comes with a rare "50 years of Rolex box" these boxes sell for around $500-1000 on ebay. I am not asking a premium for it...the hinge is broke on the box. This watch is very difficult to wind and needs a service. Do not ask me questions about time keeping etc...I am telling you it needs a service. The date flips over properly but I would NOT wind it until it is properly serviced. It will cost $500 or so from an independant. This is factored into the price. The case condition is excellent. Comes on a new leather strap. Serial puts the watch at 1977.

Low price of $3500 shipped and that is a steal for a complete 1601 from a single local owner with a rare box as a kicker.
