Hi all,
Hope everyone's safe and well.
Up for sale is my Tudor Black Bay Steel & Gold (S&G). It is a Canadian watch with full set, including the warranty card, boxes and all links. The watch is from July 2018 so it is included in the additional extended warranty for 1.5 years, making it a total of 3.5 years ending in January 2022.
As far as I am aware, I am the 3rd owner of the watch. I bought it in July 2019 and have enjoyed it since then but it's not getting much wrist time given the number watches in my watch box, hence the reason for sale in case you were curious. If you are looking for a Submariner and/or get into gold for the first time, this is a great watch at a great price in my opinion. Despite the gold, it flies under the radar pretty well IMO. And Beckham wears one, come on!
If you are looking for a museum piece, this piece is not for you. Although I was super careful with it as I am with all my watches, I managed to put a small fleabite at around the 50 mark on the bezel as well as the top left lug (damn you, the metal chair in the kitchen!). There are some superficial marks from strap changes but they are almost invisible; you need to look carefully to see them. The bracelet and polished sides have the usual swirls. Other than these minor imperfections, the watch is accurate and everything works as it should. It winds super smoothly and hands and bezel align perfectly. Power reserve was more than the advertised 70 hours at ~72 hours when I measured it last month.
The watch retails for $5,970 + tax and I am asking for $4,500. The cheapest bracelet version goes for $5,192 on Chrono24. F2F in Toronto with proper COVID measures is preferred but will ship to established members with feedback. I am open to trades, up, down and across but I am picky. No micro-brands or quartz please (no offense). I am in no rush to sell, in case you were thinking of offering "$2,500 cash tonight!"
I don't have a fancy camera so the pictures were taken with my 3 year old iPhone; if you need more pictures, just let me know. And excuse the dust, lint and finger prints on the crystal.
