On the fence on this one. I like it but I don't think I have the wrist to pull it off so it might not get much wrist time. Whether there's any interest in it will help me decide.

This is a 1969 Breitling Navitimer Chrono-matic reference 1806 powered by the famous Cal. 11. This is known as a "pre-series" and was an early release. The later released Navitimer's had a red date wheel. It is huge at 48mm wide (without crown). Stainless steel case and black bezel. It is in MINT condition and is ALL original. I can't find any obvious signs of usage (other than my fingerprints) and I think the wrist shot below is the first time the strap has been buckled. I'd say NOS if I knew for sure but it is very nearly there. At certain angles I can see a little bit of 'rub' on the crystal probably from shipping. Some Polywatch will take care of it. On the slide-rule bezel there's some flea bite type paint nicks likely from old age. Not noticeable unless you're looking for it. The lume is obviously done and has a nice faded patina perfect for a vintage watch. Other than that I can find no flaws. Comes with the box and papers that you see in the pictures. I don't have any professional way to time it but it appears to be keeping time well and the chronograph works as it should. But it is a 44 year old watch so it obviously will not be as accurate as your iPhone.

This is kind of the best of both worlds for a collector. The Navitimer is probably the most recognizable Breitling ever made (and at this size it won't be missed) and it's powered by a historically significant movement in the calibre 11. "One" of the first automatic chronographs ever produced. As I type this the more I think I should just keep it, lol.

Asking CAD$3,300 net to me. Shipping to Canada only for now, I'd like to keep this one for us! Available for inspection in Toronto. I put FSOT but I'm not really looking for any other watch in particular so if you have something interesting, either worth more or less, let me know. I'm going to set the trade value at CAD$3,500.

Thanks.

I should mention some of these pics were taken from the guy I bought it from. They're better than what I could do with my phone. Thanks.
