Hi everybody, I’m Elliot and I’ve been into watches for 20+ years but my passion ramped up in recent years. My taste for timepieces is varied and I’m always looking forward to experiencing the next one. I’m faithfully married but horologically promiscuous. That said I have a couple in mind to keep and pass on to my boys one day.
I’m pleased with my collection (see pic of most of it). Tudor, Hamilton, Tissot, Longines, Mr. Jones, IWC, and PP are among my favourite brands. I’ve reserved a CW Bel Canto for arrival in May and am “on the list” for an Explorer 40 and a green Sky-Dweller.
To commemorate completing my MBA sometime next year I’m looking to add something special to my collection. A Rolex as mentioned above or a G.O. Panolunar, or Panoreserve
When I earn the privilege, I’ll also be looking to trade, sell, and buy with fellow enthusiasts. Watches are to be enjoyed, experienced, and celebrated for their history, engineering, art, and fashion, so I don’t see them as an investment to be hoarded in a safe (even though I do keep some in a safe when not wearing) or sold for profit.
My grail is probably a Lange Tourbillion “Pour le Merite”, an F.P. Journe Repetition Souveraine, or some PP repeater. All a bit of a stretch, but we gotta dream.
Eventually I’d also like to add NOMOS, Parmigiani, Atelier Wen, Felipe Pikullik, JLC, or VC.
I’m on the fence with Omega as I have no allusions about becoming the next 007, and Grand Seiko, probably because I haven’t seen enough of them in person.
