Hey everyone, I joined back in October but figured it was time to introduce myself. I’ve already made a few purchases here and am planning to refresh my collection over the next few months.

Here’s a photo of some of my pieces. I saw a few threads discussing watch boxes; need to check those out because this Amazon box is driving my OCD crazy.

Welcome to the forum, always great to see other people from Toronto here.

If you're looking for a new storage solution, I would definitely recommend these cases from Amazon! No display window, but it's otherwise a compact and versatile solution. I'm on my 3rd one already and all have been great.

Appreciate the recommendation, I actually prefer it without a view glass, so this is perfect for me. Your watches fit neatly - great collection!

Is that a Dofasco 25-year Anniversary piece top-right? Did you work there? What’s brand is the watch, or what movement has it got?

I used to work there! The watch has no markings, runs on a quartz movement, and was given to an employee in 1974 with an engraving on the back. If you know anything about it, let me know, I don’t know much about it at all as I picked it up from an auction

Hey Ras, any chance the foam can scratch the acrylic crystals you might have on your vintage watches?

Hey Jim, I personally haven’t seen that happen yet or noticed it with my watches. The foam isn’t super compressed and there’s also very little movement while in the case so I wouldn’t be too worried about it!

Nah, I know nothing, other than that they’re in for a world of pain, like so many others, as tariff-time lands in Canada 😡. Neat pick-up tho. I love auctions and antique shops and shows for that sort of thing, particularly in EU countries whose selection seems to be that much deeper than ours.
