Hello everyone, I just wanted to greet everyone as it felt like a great community to be apart of and build/grow my watch collection. So far I don't have much and am only starting to dip my toes into buying my first luxury watch. Hope this is a fruitful endeavor and can't wait to learn more. I pray for my wallet T.T.

I have been looking at a Tudor blackbay 58 Pepsi. It's Soo pretty and a fire watch all together. But I also kinda want the speedmaster as my first one cuz I have been wanting one for years now. So let's what happens.
Personally which do you prefer?
Speedmaster are nice, iconic on the wrist but they are manual wind, depending on the actual model ,and hesalite crystal which scratch easily. The Tudor Black Bay are very versatile like a Rolex and at a much cheaper price. I would choose the Speedmaster, having owned many ( that's scary ! ) but what I want is irrelevant , I would go with that what will make you happy ! There is no wrong choice here !

I'm biased, but get the Speedie. Absolute strap monster so can feel like a brand new watch with a simple strap change. I went the 1861 variant, as it is much easier on the wallet and the movement is tried and tested.

That said, also a VERY big fan of Tudor. They were my first luxury watch purchase and I really miss the last one I had and sold (Black Bay 54). Phenomenal watches for the price point. The GMT is great, but make sure you like the colour combo. There will be more coming in future years, so if this one doesn't sing to you in black and red and guilt, just be patient to see the next colour variant. When you start collecting you think you need to buy everything now. Takes some time but you start to become a bit more patient.....usually :) .20241123_221838.jpg20241018_211002.jpg20240623_183700.jpg20241011_152755.jpg20240323_192446.jpg

Is there a list of the abbreviation used in this website by any chance?😅
Welcome to the forum! You’ll love it here. Get your pocket ready!

If I were to guess, on hand pending transfer. Usually it would say ohpf which means on hand pending funds.
