The ultimate trubute to yacht racing. This watch was made for a special limited series in partnership with the BMW/ORACLE Yacht Racing team.
The case is an oversized 46mm version of Girard Perregaux's flagship Laureato line. Only 250 versions of this watch with white dial ever produced. Original MSRP was $13,220, but last known increase brought it above $16,000.
It features an in-house flyback chronograph! It also has one of the most intricate and gorgeous dials I have ever seen.
The watch was purchased new about 3 years ago. It was worn regularly for about a year before retiring to the winder. It was brought out of retirement about a year later and then sent to GP for a complete service and polish. Worn maybe a half dozen times since the service was performed.
It is a big watch! There are a few light dings and marks from wear, although most were completely removed by GP's polish job. I would rate the watch at 90%. The watch came from the factory on the white strap, and a black strap was purchased as well from a GP dealer. Both have been cut down to fit a 7.5 - 7.75" wrist.
All boxes, books etc... come with the watch. There is warranty on the watch from Tradema GP until the end of June 2011.
Looking for a good new home. I will consider trades for other large (40mm or greater) sport watches. The watch is in Montreal and is available for local inspection.
