This was one of those, "couldn't help myself just wanted to play with it for a while" purchases recently. I think my anti Rolex bias is interfering.
Came with hang tags, oem new strap and stickered back but the bezel was damaged. I figure it was either a franken of some sort or had been banging around in a drawer for a while to get marked up. Running fine now either way.
I opened it up, cleaned the crystal, replaced the gasket and greased a couple things. I noticed a scratch on the dial between the 10-11 but I can't see it without a loup. Actually the dial is difficult to photo it's so dark.
36x12x40mm Yes very short lugs!
It's an unfamiliar movement to me as I've never owned a calender Orient so I'll explain it here.
Single quickset, non hacking. Pull gently until you feel resistance thats first position and counter clockwise to change date. Day you go back and forth past midnight. When you do that around 130am the day wheel will show a half way position, if you go back before midnight like that you can advance the day without changing the date fairly quickly. Make sure you end up on a halfway position at 130 because it will roll over completely at 3am. Time setting the usual second position with a positive click.
Priced to move at $150 plus shipping, about half the market value so pretty firm. For less I'd be tempted to break in that strap and just sell a random Seiko. I take certain parts or broken watches in trade.
