Sold Pair Of 1940s Rolex Victory Watches In Need Of TLC

Both watches are in need of TLC and are rough. The balance staff on the center seconds watch is broken. I had fully intended to use the balance from the sub seconds watch for the other, but life got in the way. Selling these as a pair. The collector I bought the center seconds watch from said it belonged to Canadian RCAF pilot FD Drake. I was not able to confirm this.

Well, I had a day off and decided to work on these watches, switching over the balance. When I removed the balance from the center seconds watch I saw there was no issue with the staff. Both pivots are present and they're straight. No issue with the hairspring and the upper and lower jewels are good with no damage. The only issue I found was some lint wrapped around the pallet fork and escape wheel. I removed the link, replaced the balance and the watch is running fine. I don't understand why the previous owner said the staff was broken.

I sold a couple of other watches so for CWC members I'm lowering the price of this pair to $920. Shipping would be extra.
