Relisting this piece again. I withdrew the sale last time as I was hoping a fresh bezel insert would give me renewed love for the watch, but ultimately I am just not a 5-digit lover. I much prefer the newer 6 digit Rolex models.
Rolex 16710 Pepsi with N serial, dating to 1992. This is a piece to enjoy wearing on a daily basis that you don't have to worry about its cosmetic condition.
The good:
- Watch had full service at Rolex Service Centre in December 2018 and is still under full warranty from RSC until December 2020; mechanically the watch is perfect and keeps great time; includes service receipt and warranty card from RSC
- Nice patina developing on the dial, markers and hands
- Original Pepsi insert has faded to salmon color very uniformly
- Complete kit with spare links, outer & inner boxes, booklets, RSC warranty card, extra bezel insert, etc...
Not so good:
- Watch has been polished by RSC
- Cosmetic condition is 'OK'; there are nicks, scratches and marks on the case, lugs, bracelet, clasp, etc... looks great on the wrist but on close inspection it is a 'wearer'
- Clasp # does not match the 1992 dating of the watch, at some point the clasp was replaced (still the correct clasp for the watch, just the serial # doesn't date to 1992 to match the watch)
My price is $11,500 face to face in the west GTA. This is the lowest price for a 16710 Pepsi anywhere in Canada or USA based on my research. It's definitely the lowest price on CWC in a loooooong time.
I am looking for a cash sale unless you have the following for trade (no exceptions):
- Ceramic steel submariner
- 216570 polar or black
- Panerai 40mm or 42mm models
