Hey cwc. It is time for me to move on from my lovely 6 digit day date.
Watch: Rolex day date ref 118238
Size:36mm
Material: 18 k yellow gold
Year: d serial 2005
Date on papers: march 2007 myrtle beach sc.
dial: champagne as stated on the papers.
This watch comes as a set with:
Inner box
Original warranty papers
Hang tags x 2 (with serial)
Full president bracelet with 4 removable links
Day date booklet
It was serviced by a local watch maker in 2019 - this paperwork is included.
The watch is in nice condition with the basic wear around the watch. Small marks can be found on the bracelet, lugs and case sides. Overall the watch presents very well.
The bracelet is quite tight as you will see in the photos. The clasp clicks very firmly.
Being a 6 digit day date it wears much heavier than the previous 5 digit series. The bracelet is substantially heavier and the clasp is much stronger. The solid gold end links give the watch a no rattle feel.
There is a neat story with this watch which I will share with the next owner. Essentially I got the watch from the original owner and he claims that it was never polished in the 15 + years he had it. With that being said a light polish will bring the watch right back to its glory. Not that it needs it exactly.
Price: $32000
The last two sold on the Rolex forum were $28000 and $29000 both watch only.

Rolex trades may be considered.
I have many more photos to add or send if needed.
