Up for sale is a watch that I have owned for over 9 years and never really expected to sell it since i loved it so much. That being said the time has come for it to go since I have my eye on something else.

Introduced in 1983, the ref. 16760 was the first of the new GMT-Master II collection. In terms of design, the GMT-Master II 16760 sported a thicker case, a wider bezel, and larger crown guards than its predecessors. These design details led to the ref. 16760’s famous nickname, the “Fat Lady”. The ref. 16760 is also sometimes called the “Sophia Loren” drawing comparisons between the new curves of the watch and the Italian beauty. The Rolex GMT-Master II 16760 was in production until 1988 and was only ever crafted in stainless steel with a red and black bezel.

This particular model is a serial 96XX XXX which means it is from 1987, the warranty card is also dated for 1987. The bracelet number is a 93150 with 501 end pieces which has a folding clasp. This particular model came with both the folding clasp and a regular clasp. The bracelet comes with 12 links including end pieces (so it might need a extra link for a larger wrist) . Caliber 3085.

I am the second owner of this watch and always took care of it very well, the first owner was also someone who was very good to the watch . I have always had a Rolex certified watchmaker do service on it every couple of years but keeping everything original, this watchmaker is a friend and there in no paperwork. He also does work on all my other watches. In fact this was juts done last week to see if all was in order. The watch keeps COSC time. Also watch has had ONLY light polishing in the past nothing more as the bevels are sharp and lugs super thick. The calendar, your Rolex oyster booklet and the GMT booklet are missing but box and original warranty are with it . The hour hand has slight flaking as well as the 11 O’clock marker nothing that is noticeable . The crystal has tiny chips at the 2 o’clock not noticeable with the naked eye. The patina on the markers is awesome and will be enjoyed .

I am selling to get myself a new Rolex to add to my collection something I can wear everyday.

Asking for a fair $11,750 (insured shipping will be paid by you or FTF in Ottawa). Please no low ballers since this does not necessarily have to sell :)
