*SALE* FSOT THE ORIGINAL (Vintage) Zenith EL Primero Chrono from 1969 Reference A386

This is the original model of the Zenith El Primero and to say that it is highly collectible is a significant understatement. They only made about 3000 of these to my knowledge and they are extremely rare. This is the exact model that the modern El Primero (the most popular watch in the entire zenith lineup) is modeled after. The previous owner had a unique custom sapphire case back created which is included with the steel case back.

Dial and tachymetre - original
Hands - original hands except red second hand is a replacement.
Case & movement - in excellent condition and also appear original.
Caseback - comes with a custom made sapphire case back so you can observe the movement as well as a vintage el primero caseback.
Crystal - It has some chips and scratches. If you have a specific question if a scratch is on the dial or crystal please ask. Most likely it is on the crystal as the dial appears excellent.

Yes a couple of hands have been relumed. If these original hands were completely untouched the watch would be worth closer to 20k. I am looking for the person who wants a real watch for a real REAL good price. There is no example on the internet even close to this price. It is the original watch that inspired a brand. I will still entertain trades etc. in the early days of the auction. Have a look at these pictures from one of my vintage watch books "a man and his watch" which tells a bit about the zenith story and shows pictures of the original watch from 1969. If you really want the book I can include that too....along with the hat and watch roll! Great package and watch at a crazy price. I am confident this will sell on Ebay above 10k.

I have some really sad news. I had 3 people who bid on this watch at $9100 and the guy who won it has not said a single word and its been 2 days so expect he is a flake.........why couldn't the 4-fifteen guy who has 300 feedback have won.....man Ebay is terrible sometimes. So i think I can provide this screen shot as indisputable proof that the watch is worth at least $9000 Canadian as 3 people bid it that high. Therefore I am reducing the price to a firm $9000 Canadian dollars and including fully insured overnight shipping anywhere in Canada. I am still considering all trades on this watch and I will also include a fully insured label for you to ship your watches to me for free if we agree to a trade. Does it get any better? I had the watch checked over by my watchmaker yesterday. He said the sapphire caseback is very well designed. I had him apply some fresh ultra violet glue to where the sapphire crystal attaches to the case back to make sure it is safe and secure. He looked at the movement and determined that things are in order but recommends a service in the near future if it is to be worn regularly.
