I’m parting with some pieces that I’ve really enjoyed owning and wearing. But I’m trying hard to consolidate so I’m making some tough decisions on some vintage Omegas.
Up for sale is this really nice 1971 Seamaster Daydate, commonly referred to as the ‘sparkle dial’. It’s hard to get a photo that does justice to this dial. It is ever changing in the light.
Price is $1700 including shipping for watch and bracelet only.
Case: Measures 36.5 mm with 19mm lug width. The case is in excellent original condition with only superficial marks. Bevels nice and sharp and no dings. Case back too is excellent. No case opening scratches and the hippocampus is nice and sharp. Caseback inside is marked ST 166.032 (for 750) and ST 168.023 (for 751).
Dial: Sparkle dial is showing no signs of oxidation. Flawless. All lume plots are intact. Applied Omega logo. Hands are also clean with lume intact as well.
Movement: Clean Omega cal 750 - 17 jewels. This movement was part of one of Omegas most produced series. FYI, the 751 has 18 jewels. The movement was checked and cleaned and lubricated in early 2015. Has been running without issue. Date change works with a crown pull. Day/times changes with crown rotation in first position.
Bracelet: Model 1069/524 sized currently such that it fits my wrist (slightly less than 7 1/2”) with adjustment in the clasp it would fit 6 1/2” - 7 1/4”. Bracelet shows very little stretch. Perfect match for this watch.
I’m not seeking trades at this point. I will accept payment by PayPal (to friends and fam) or etransfer. No returns, so please ask any questions for clarity. The watch will be shipped expedited with tracking from here in Victoria. Of course, if anyone is nearby or on the island, we can arrange an appropriate F2F deal.
