Hi all.
Like many others here I’ve all kinds of time to sort .... everything in the entire house .... including the collection. That’s on top of doing my patio project.
I’m putting up for sale one of my favourites. I’m a big Datejust fan. I’ve been consolidating to one 4-digit and one 5-digit, and a DJ41, so this is the one I’m parting with.
1973 Datejust 1603 with 1575 movement. Has silver sigma dial and engine turned bezel with folded jubilee bracelet, box, booklet and tag. All has been confirmed genuine and quite likely original by a Rolex certified watchmaker. Tested good for waterproof last week.
PRICE and CONDITIONS: $4850 incl shipping to Canada or avail for F2F (so to speak) on Vancouver Island. Cash deal only please. No trades considered at this time. Returns if not genuine or not as represented in the photos. Photos are in natural light and untouched.
Shipping is from Victoria BC.
Movement: 1570/75 checked, cleaned, ‘lubed’ and timed by Rolex certified watchmaker.
Hands: are correct for the date with pointed tips.
Dial: Sigma dial originally used to indicate markers and hands in solid WG as opposed to plated. Subsequently there was no need to distinguish that feature so the sigma designation was dropped. These dials are not what I’d call rare, but they are unique and not common.
Bezel: Excellent condition SS engine turned bezel. Correct for the 1603. I also have a WG fluted bezel that I could sell separately if you wanted to change it up.
Bracelet: Folded link 6251 Jubilee with 23 links. Excellent condition having been refurbished by Michael Young.
Box, booklet and tag included.
Additional photos can be provided if requested.
Thanks for having a look.
Stay safe.
