SOLD: 2016 Breguet Type XX Aeronavale Ref. 3800 Flyback Chronograph- Watch Only - $5650

Up today I have one of my favourite watches at a truly affordable price point.

The Type XX moniker typically refers to the original specification sheet provided by the French military in the 1950s, when it put out an open contract for the production of flyback chronographs from France's and Switzerland's top watchmakers for its pilots to wear during flight.

The Longines Avigation bears the similar typeface and layout as this Breguet, which is high horology at a price point well below the Speedmaster range.

The Flyback feature is simply the topping on the cake and this watch performs incredibly well in terms of accuracy.

At +5s a day and an amplitude of 308 degrees, the watch is not going to need a service for a while.

The watch is in excellent condition with minor hairlines on the polished bezel. There is a small fleabite on the upper right lug, unnoticeable on wrist.

I inquired about the provenance of the watch with Breguet and they confirmed this ref. 3800ST/92/9W6 was a 2016 piece sold to Swatch Group Canada in the same year.
