Up today I have my Carrera “Glassbox” in near mint condition.
This reference CAR221A brings a sweet balance of vintage charm and modern styling into a very wearable 39mm case design.
The sunburst silvery dial with an almost taupe like hue to the grey subdials make for a beautiful contrast and that coveted “Panda” look
The nickname “Glassbox” stems from the heavily domed sapphire crystal that was meant to mimic the vintage plexiglass crystal which lends to a beautiful distortion of the dial when viewed from the side, as can be seen in some of the pictures posted.
The perforated leather strap which blends perfectly with the rally look if the watch design, is impeccably manufactured and might I add, hella comfortable.
These pieces are trending over $6.5K with warranty expired, while this one carries the balance of the factory warranty which is good until 2023.
