Offered here is one beautiful example of fine German watchmaking. One glance at this watch and you realize just how craftly this company is. The quality of their watches in their entry level all the way up to their grand complications is present in every watch the company makes.
This is a 37mm (without crown) micro automatic winder movement which has a very useful feature of a zero reset function. When you pull the crown to set the time on the watch, the second had sets to zero and you may set your watch to exactly the right time to see just how accurate these watches are over a few days…. It seems like a very little feature but it actually is very useful. The grand date (an A. Lange staple) is easily set by the pusher on the outside of 11 o’clock position.
By viewing the movement you can see what Lange puts into each and every movement from the fine hand finishing to the visually impressive overall quality.. These watches are expensive because simply put, they are worth it! Stunning is the most common phrase heard when you wear one of these branded watches.
The watch comes with the original box, the leather folder has the warranty booklet and the wrong booklet for the watch instructions… I have contacted A. Lange about getting the right booklet for this watch and they responded by asking me to take it to an AD and they will get the booklet for you. It has archival papers which are pictured below.
This watch has been long discontinued and last offered at roughly $26,000 USD. This is a rare dial, case combination offered and the last same version sold at auction for $23K USD. The watch condition is excellent to near mint, it all functions properly and I will offer this watch with the deployant buckle (OEM but a $3K add on) for $20K Canadian. This watch is really well priced for someone wanting to experience why this company is as good as they are!
