I had a great email chat with a UK based Enicar collector and he pointed out a couple things about this watch I had not noticed.

1. The luminous material is missing from the minute hand
2. There was red paint on the inside of the crystal

He also pointed out the second hand and part of the 24 hour hand were painted, but I already knew that and hoped the pictures would show that well.

I took the movement out of the case and I was able to remove the paint from inside the crystal but I didn't attempt to remove the paint from the hands because that would involve removing the hands and that wasn't something I wanted to try doing.

I also removed the old gasket because pieces kept coming loose when I removed the case back. Even with a new gasket I'm having trouble orientating the case back from the 0 to the 1. It moves past the 0 and then stops. The back is on tight and it's not going anywhere and I don't think anyone plans to dive with the watch or even get it wet so I believe it's ok where it is now. I don't have a good tool to use on the case back and I'm not going to risk further marring the case back with my Jaxa tool.

Lastly, I received a PM when I first posted the watch asking if this was the original crystal, I didn't know if it was. Doing research I learned that the original crystal was an L shape and the part of the crystal that pointed inside actually holds the 24 hour ring securely. This crystal doesn't have the step inside the crystal so that's why the ring is so easy to turn with the crown. The correct crystal is still available from various sellers online, for example:

Looking over all these issues and the condition of the watch the Enicar collector and I talked about pricing and he feels it's still a bit too high.

I'm going to lower the price to $1250 CAD shipped.

I can do a better price if the buyer is willing to pay the PayPal fees or we can do an EMT payment.

I'll also include a new Hirsch non-padded thin black 22mm strap with steel buckle and spring bars.

Lots of interest and a few close offers, but no sale yet.

I have a personal commitment coming up and I'd hate to sell this on ebay. I'm losing money at this price but I'd like to move this Enicar on to the next owner.
